JB & Calley’s Wedding

January 4th, 2020 in About Me

My brother had been living with us after his lease was up and up until his wedding. On the night before his wedding and found Abby in his bathroom cleaning it for his big day. She also left notes on his mirror wishing him lucky. All my kids really love Jonathan, but especially Abby.

I didn’t get to meet Calley until they were pretty serious but I was really thrilled for my brother because I could tell her chose, or she chose, really well. They can be goofy together, lean on each other, and I think really both elevate each other in life. It is always a relief when you meet someone’s new fiance or boyfriend/girlfriend and you don’t hate them or think they chose below themselves. Ya know? It’s been one of my biggest worries with my siblings and for my future girls. So I LOVED Calley, I didn’t get to know her too well before they got married, which was a bummer. But planning a wedding, not living in the same city as your TO-BE, and working long hours makes it so you are pretty busy. My girls really all loved her right away which was super sweet.

Their reception was my second favorite ever, no maybe it is tied for first, reception. It was FUN! Dancing, good food, not in the same run of the mill venue. When my new sister came out to her reception IN A BLACK VELVET JUMPSUIT I fell in love with her even more. JB & Calley had a blast dancing together. So did the girls and I. Abby got to dance with my cousin Candace who she really loves as well. I really have to ask JB if I can use these screenshots from his FB BTW. Ekk.

I got to see my Uncle David for the last time and he just told me all about his grandkids and how extraordinary they were. That was the last thing I talked to him about.

We weren’t in the wedding party but Calley had these beautiful crowns made for the girls to wear which was just so sweet. Calley’s mother, aunt, sister, and best friends were just the nicest people in the world.

Cameron had to wear her dress backwards most the day because she got a big stain on the front.

At the temple the little kids were adorable waiting to see Calley & JB come out and say hello.

The night before the wedding Sarah and I very drunkenly and annoyingly put up their wedding luncheon. I used a lot of my fiesta type decor to set it up. I can’t even really remember all the way what the two of us were angry about. But we spoke in mostly song lyrics and snapping at each other. I laughed so hard with Sarah but I can’t remember what in the heck about. All I know is that it got put up and pulled off. Also that I had to get ice for people last minute and missed most of the actual luncheon.

The other random memory of the day that still makes me bust out laughing is Bryan and his friends lighting the sparklers on fire all at once and running around with fire hands. Bawhahahahahaha, see I am still laughing!

Most important thing, I love having Calley as a sister and having my baby brother paired up with someone so great to live life with.
