2017 UDA Dance Recital

December 24th, 2018 in Beauty in Everyday

This holiday break I want to write down all the memories I can before they dwindle even more in my brain. Family blogging is a dead art but it’s the only way I journal in my life. My iphone is to capacity at 10,000 pictures of things we have done. Big life changes have happened, kids now look like teenagers, and life has been full of bumps and fun in the past 15 months. So here we go, going back in time to capture our memories, wish my foggy brain luck.

2017 UDA Dance Recital

Dance recital is our favorite time of year that I have to remind myself to be calm during. The longer I am a dance mom the calmer I become but the crazier logistically it gets.

Abby & Cameron participated in the Fairie show which is such a beautifully thoughtful ballet written about how to lift each other up as girls. We are so incredibly grateful for Ms Leslie & Ms Heidi in our lives.

Abby & Shae went to a try out together, didn’t get the results they wanted BUT they were so brave to go and support each other.

Shae’s Dance Year Highlights
?Ferdinand was Shae’s Ballet dance. It was a special dance to her teacher & Shae really wanted to do it well. She spend a lot of time practicing this dance. And cried after the performance about the fact that she couldn’t do it anymore. She got very into the role of this dance! ?Little Engine That Could was Shae’s tap dance and she loved to perform it because it was my favorite book. She loved that it was the book my grandpa always read to me ?
?Shae had two technical classes that really pushed her. I’m so proud of her hard work ? Abby got to be an assistant dance teacher in one of Shae’s classes this year.
? Shae really loved auditioning for dance team. She practiced the combo like a champ & still performs it around the house.
?Shae was really fun to watch on stage. She really loves to perform, not mess up a single step, not look at the teacher & remember it from her practicing & get REALLY into the role. ?Shae hates putting on makeup with her whole heart
