New England 2017 Trip: Seabrook NH

To get to the Azores you get the cheap flights from flying out of Boston. New England is the love area of my life and I will at any point in my life jump at the opportunity to live in New Hampshire. The 3 years I spent living there were wonderful. Isn’t it funny how your heart can connect so strongly with A PLACE? New England, specifically New Hampshire has my heart strings. So I decided to take my girls to share all the things I love about it. I also decided to take my two little brothers, I really wanted to connect with them more and for my girls to get to know them better. The very best thing about this trip is that is did just that. I really got to know my brothers as adult and become much closer to them. That was the best part of the trip. The second coolest part was reconnecting with the family I nannied for when I lived there. The kids didn’t remember me (they were so little when I nannied for them!), and they might have been wondering why in the world I wanted to see them. BUT that family meant so much to me during that time in my life and taught my things about how I wanted to parent that has directly affected my girls in many beautiful ways. My girls adored Jessica, who the younger two still ask to go visit all the time!

We stayed in a home a block away from the beach in Seabrook, New Hampshire. The city does fireworks on the beach every Wednesday night, is a pretty slow beach, had a slow break with small waves perfect for boogie boarding.

There is nothing out of the norm really with a New Hampshire coast beach and some might wonder why would you travel to go to a beach there? It’s just all the memories of living there and taking my cute little nanny kids to the beach each day during the summer months. The girls had a lot of fun collecting seashells, making sand castles, and jumping in the waves with my brothers.

 

 

We were just down the road from the family I worked for and they were sweet enough to help us plan the rest of our trip, go out with us to dinner, and let us swim in their hot tub.
